Geo.F.Trumper
Mayfair barber and perfumer, by Royal Warrant since 1875.
Geo. F. Trumper was opened in 1875 by George Francis William Trumper as a gentlemen's barber on Curzon Street in Mayfair, with a second shop later established at 1 Duke of York Street in St James's. Both still operate, and the original interiors — mahogany cabinetry, etched glass, leather chairs — remain largely intact. The house was awarded a Royal Warrant by Queen Victoria and has held one under every subsequent British monarch. The fragrance and grooming line grew out of the barber trade: shaving creams, eau-de-cologne style splashes and traditional men's perfumes that read as quintessentially Edwardian even in current bottlings. Sandalwood, Eucris, Wellington, Spanish Leather, Marlborough and Curzon define the catalogue. Compositions are conservative by design — clean fougères, classical citruses, woody leathers — and suit wearers who want fragrance as part of a considered grooming ritual rather than as fashion.

DNA over time
Each column is an era. Each colored band shows that family’s share of accord weight across every perfume the house released in that window. Bigger band = the house leaned harder on that family.
