Gian Marco Venturi
Florentine fashion translated into fragrance.
Gian Marco Venturi is a Florentine fashion house founded in 1979 by the designer of the same name, who studied textile design in Prato and business economics in Florence before establishing his Milan-based ready-to-wear label. The house expanded rapidly through the 1980s, adding leather goods, jeans, sportswear, and eventually fragrance — the first Gian Marco Venturi perfume launched in 1985, the same year the company became a S.p.A. and received the Catherine de Medici Perfume award. The fragrances, like the clothing, occupy a distinctly Italian register: polished, accessible, and informed by the fashion context from which the brand emerges. Today the name continues under licence through Brand Oasi Srl, maintaining a presence in the affordable Italian designer fragrance space alongside contemporary collections.
DNA over time
Each column is an era. Each colored band shows that family’s share of accord weight across every perfume the house released in that window. Bigger band = the house leaned harder on that family.
