Grandiflora
Australian botanical artistry.
Grandiflora is an Australian niche fragrance house rooted in the celebrated Sydney flower shop of the same name, founded by Saskia Havekes in 1995. Havekes built Grandiflora into one of Australia's most respected florists before channelling that expertise into a fragrance line designed to capture the living complexity of flowers rather than their simplified laboratory representations. The house works with American perfumer Christophe Laudamiel — known for his precise, technically rigorous approach — to translate Havekes's botanical knowledge into eau de parfums. Releases including Magnolia Grandiflora, Wisteria, and Tea and Tulips each focus on a single flower or botanical combination, rendered with unusual naturalistic fidelity. The compositions are softer and more translucent than conventional floral perfumery, reflecting Australian light and Havekes's preference for the living plant over the extracted absolute. Grandiflora has earned international critical recognition as one of the more compelling floral niche houses to emerge from outside Europe.
