Haught Parfums
Haught Parfums was founded in Oakland, California in 2012 by Jarekhye Covarrubias, an independent perfumer who set out to prove that distinctive, high-quality fragrance could be produced without a luxury markup. The name — pronounced after the archaic English word for haughty — doubles as a statement of intent: work that insists on its own worth without relying on prestige pricing to signal value. Covarrubias produces all fragrances in small proprietary batches, decanted by hand, with many releases appearing as limited editions associated with a particular year. The compositions favor unusual combinations and a willingness to sit outside mainstream olfactive conventions — smoky, animalic, and medicinal registers appear alongside more approachable florals and woods. The brand's founding principles extend to packaging: sustainable and recycled materials are used where possible, and the house explicitly celebrates those considered unconventional by mainstream taste. Haught has developed a loyal following among fragrance collectors who prize genuine independent craftsmanship over recognizable luxury branding.

Each column is an era. Each colored band shows that family’s share of accord weight across every perfume the house released in that window. Bigger band = the house leaned harder on that family.
