Heretic Parfums
Los Angeles botanical perfumery, sugarcane-alcohol base.
Heretic was founded in Los Angeles in 2015 by Douglas Little, a former event and product designer (D.L. & Co.) who pivoted to perfumery after a corporate executive told him natural fragrance "would never be more than the work of housewives and heresy." He took the slur as the brand name and trademarked it the next morning. The house works exclusively with botanical materials in organic non-GMO sugarcane alcohol, free of phthalates and synthetic musks. The catalogue leans into sheer, watercolour-style compositions: Dirty Grass, Dirty Lemon, Dirty Rose, Pistil Whip, Smoke Show. Little frames natural perfumery as closer to herbal medicine than mass fragrance, and several SKUs lean into ayurvedic and aromatherapy vocabulary. The house suits wearers who find conventional perfume too dense or want a clean-beauty option that still reads as a real perfume. Prices sit in the niche bracket; distribution runs through Credo, Goop, and the brand's own site.

Each column is an era. Each colored band shows that family’s share of accord weight across every perfume the house released in that window. Bigger band = the house leaned harder on that family.
