Holynose Parfums
A manifesto on the sacredness of smell.
Holynose Parfums is a Moscow-based independent house founded by Pavel Nikandrov in 2015. The compositions are signed almost entirely by perfumer Maria Golovina, and the brand's stated influences are unusual for the category: brutalist Soviet-era architecture and the urban edges of St. Petersburg and Moscow rather than gardens, beaches, or Orientalist set pieces. The catalog of around twenty fragrances includes releases like Tuman ('fog') and Cernyj ('black'), and the work tends toward angular, slightly austere structures — incense, cold metallic florals, dry woods — rather than the warm gourmands that dominate Russian niche export. Distribution is mostly direct from holynose.com and a small set of European niche retailers. The house suits wearers who want fragrance as urban portraiture, not escapism.

DNA over time
Each column is an era. Each colored band shows that family’s share of accord weight across every perfume the house released in that window. Bigger band = the house leaned harder on that family.
