Jacques Griffe
French fragrance heritage since 1909.
Jacques Griffe was a French couturier active in the mid-twentieth century, regarded as one of the more technically gifted disciples of Madeleine Vionnet, and the fashion house bearing his name produced couture from the late 1940s through the 1960s. The fragrance line associated with the house was created in the tradition of French couture perfumes — intimate, refined, rooted in floral and chypre conventions of the period. Contemporary availability is extremely limited, with the house operating primarily as a vintage and collector's interest. Jacques Griffe fragrances appeal to those tracing the history of mid-century French dress and perfume culture.

Each column is an era. Each colored band shows that family’s share of accord weight across every perfume the house released in that window. Bigger band = the house leaned harder on that family.
