Juliet Rose is a British indie perfumer working in the south of England who trained to a master's degree level in fine art in London and evolved organically into perfumery, first selling her handmade creations in Covent Garden before moving entirely online in 2020. Her practice is animated by a desire to activate the imagination and alter the atmosphere of surrounding space through scent — an approach rooted in her visual art background. Every fragrance is formulated and bottled by hand in her home studio; she is a member of the Guild of Craft Soap and Toiletry Makers and holds more than fifteen years of experience in the field. The collection spans Gothic and dark orientals to aquatic and fresh accords, and all products are cruelty-free, vegan, and phthalate-free, with judicious use of synthetics to boost longevity.
