July St Barthelemy
French Haute Parfumerie since 1863.
July of St Barth was founded in 1989 by Juliette Espinasse Dubois, who spent two decades making hats on Shell Beach, the Caribbean cove that anchors the brand's identity. The house grew from millinery and accessories into perfumery, and now operates a shop in Grasse alongside international distribution in more than twenty countries. The fragrance catalog reads like a beach-and-island travel record — Shell Beach, Neroli Imperial, Magic Night, Mirifica — and the perfumer roster is unusually strong for a small house: Jean François Latty, Paul Emilien, Nathalie Feisthauer, Paul Cassio. The compositions are vegan-certified, uncolored, and tend toward solar floral and clean musk profiles. It suits a wearer who wants Caribbean ease rendered with French perfumery technique rather than coconut-and-tan-oil cliché.
DNA over time
Each column is an era. Each colored band shows that family’s share of accord weight across every perfume the house released in that window. Bigger band = the house leaned harder on that family.
