Kyse Perfumes
Hand-poured Californian gourmands at studio scale.
Kyse Perfumes is a small California indie house founded in 2014 by Terri Bozzo, a nutrition scientist who carried her laboratory training into perfumery. The brand's name is a contraction of her sons' names, Kyle and Sean, and the house operates as a one-person studio: Bozzo composes, blends and bottles the line herself, with releases made in small batches sold mostly through the brand's own website and a handful of niche retailers. The catalogue leans heavily gourmand — figs steeped in cream, crème brûlée, dark chocolate over rose, almond and coffee accords — with soft sillage and respectable longevity rather than projection. Compositions feel more like cooking than perfumery in their materials list, and reviews tend to single out their nostalgic, edible warmth. Kyse suits a wearer who collects gourmands the way others collect single-malt whisky: slowly, attentively, and with patience for a maker working at hand-poured scale.
DNA over time
Each column is an era. Each colored band shows that family’s share of accord weight across every perfume the house released in that window. Bigger band = the house leaned harder on that family.
