L Eau De Cassis
L'Eau de Cassis is a Provençal perfumery anchored in the fishing port of Cassis, where Fabrice Cicol relaunched a family formula in 2005 that descended from his ancestor Lorenzo Salvaire's 1851 cologne. The house presents itself as a continuation of that 19th-century Mediterranean cologne tradition rather than a new venture. The compositions favor southern French signatures — fig, mimosa, neroli, lavender, immortelle, sea spray — at the lighter end of niche concentration, with eaux de toilette dominating the catalog and a smaller line of richer eaux de parfum. Bottles are simple, often labeled by hand, and packaged in tinted card boxes that echo old apothecary stock. A 2021 merger with the Carthusian-linked Ciergerie des Prémontrés expanded the candle and home-fragrance side of the business. Boutiques operate in Cassis, Paris, Grasse, Marseille, and Bordeaux, with the brand kept deliberately regional.
