La Maison De La Vanille
A house devoted to a single material.
La Maison de la Vanille is a French niche perfumery founded in 1994 by Aldo Bielli, an oenologist and self-taught perfume creator who chose Grasse as the home for his single-minded devotion to a single material. As the name promises, every composition centres on vanilla, drawn from beans of different origins — Madagascar, Tahiti, Mexico, Bourbon — and treated with a winemaker's interest in terroir and varietal character. The collection works as a tasting flight rather than a conventional perfume range: each release explores a particular facet of vanilla, from boozy and resinous to powdery, milky or smoked. Bottles are deliberately understated, often in clear glass with simple typography, and pricing sits at the accessible end of niche. Distribution runs through specialist retailers in Europe, the United States and Asia.
DNA over time
Each column is an era. Each colored band shows that family’s share of accord weight across every perfume the house released in that window. Bigger band = the house leaned harder on that family.
