Lothantique
Lothantique traces its roots to 1920, when siblings Josephine and Nestor Mouranchon established a small enterprise in Chateauneuf-Val-de-Barres, near the Lure mountain in southeastern France. Nestor, a chemist, cultivated and distilled lavender from the family's Provencal fields and sold essential oils to the growing perfumery industry centred on Grasse and Paris; Josephine managed the commercial side. A century later, the company is led by Denis and Dominique Vogade, grandchildren of the founders, who have expanded the original soap and essential-oil heritage into a curated range of bath, body, and home products. Lothantique's aesthetic remains anchored in Provencal botanicals - lavender, verbena, fig, and iris - presented in restrained, pharmacy-inflected packaging that references the brand's artisanal roots. The house distributes across Europe, North America, Asia, and Australia through specialty boutiques and gift retailers, and markets itself as a premium accessible brand rather than a luxury niche house. The fragrance line sits within the broader bath-and-home offer, complementing soaps, candles, and linen sprays.
