Lvnea
Lvnea is an independent natural perfumery and apothecary founded by April Lea and based in the Mile-End neighborhood of Montréal, on unceded Kanien'kehá:ka lands. The name derives from the Romanian word for Monday — the moon's day — a reference to Lea's ancestral heritage and to the lunar symbolism that runs through the brand's identity. Founded in 2013 as a home studio practice, the house grew into a brick-and-mortar boutique while maintaining its commitment to small-batch, in-house production. Lvnea works exclusively with naturally sourced materials, many of them extracted in-house through enfleurage, cold maceration, and steam distillation. The resulting fragrances are dark, textural, and resolutely unisex — built from botanical absolutes, resins, and plant-derived musks rather than synthetic aromachemicals. April Lea approaches perfumery as a political act, one that implicates the practitioner in questions of land stewardship and supply chain ethics. The brand sells through its Montréal boutique, its own website, and a small number of international natural perfumery stockists. The catalog includes both solid and liquid formats.

DNA over time
Each column is an era. Each colored band shows that family’s share of accord weight across every perfume the house released in that window. Bigger band = the house leaned harder on that family.
