Maïssa
An olfactory bridge between Paris and the Maghreb.
Maison Maïssa is a Parisian niche perfumery founded in 2018 by Dahmane Ouafi, who named the house after his daughter as a vehicle for transmitting his dual Franco-Algerian heritage through the language of scent. Created in France with the savoir-faire of classically trained French perfumers, the collection is shaped by the richly aromatic traditions of the Maghreb — deep musks, warm resins, intoxicating florals — brought into dialogue with the modernity of contemporary Parisian perfumery. The resulting fragrances are bold, unisex compositions that feel simultaneously intimate and expansive, with a cultural generosity that invites wearers into a sensory journey between two worlds. Maïssa is positioned as a private collection of olfactory travel, where each bottle represents a specific meeting point between Eastern tradition and Western avant-gardism, crafted with exceptional raw materials and a commitment to lasting impact on the skin.
DNA over time
Each column is an era. Each colored band shows that family’s share of accord weight across every perfume the house released in that window. Bigger band = the house leaned harder on that family.
