Mansfield
An Anglo-Saxon name with a Neapolitan soul.
Mansfield is a Neapolitan niche perfumery founded in 1997 by Massimo Scalella, with the steadfast support of his sister Simona and father Vittorio. The paradox of its English name against its unmistakably southern Italian character is entirely deliberate: Mansfield was conceived as an expression of Naples itself — the city's kaleidoscopic culture, its Mediterranean vitality, and the centuries of artistic cross-pollination that define the Campania region. The house has built its reputation through collaborations with Italian icons, most notably E. Marinella, the legendary Neapolitan tie-maker, and through a commemorative fragrance honouring the actor Totò. Each creation draws on fine European raw materials and the artisanal instincts of the Scalella family's long involvement in selective perfumery. Mansfield occupies a distinctive niche: rooted in place, proud of its heritage, and resistant to the homogenising forces of mainstream fragrance culture.
