Maori Collection is an Italian niche fragrance line launched in 2017 under the creative direction of Paolo Terenzi, the perfumer behind the celebrated Tiziana Terenzi house. Inspired by the symbolic imagery of Polynesian Maori tattoo culture — its geometric motifs, its connection to nature, and its role as a record of identity — the collection translates these ideas into a series of bold, intensely textured extrait de parfum compositions. Bottles bear decorative motifs drawn from traditional Polynesian tattoo art, reinforcing the visual and conceptual vocabulary of the line. Terenzi's characteristic skill with complex woody and resinous accords is fully present, resulting in fragrances that feel weighty, ceremonial, and immersive. Marketed through selective retail including Russian beauty chains, the collection occupies a specific niche: a high-quality Italian proposition with a culturally charged aesthetic that sets it apart from the Mediterranean-centric imagery more common in the segment.
