Mauro Lorenzi Profumi is an independent Italian niche fragrance house founded in Rome in 2017, operating from a boutique in the historic Borgo Pio neighbourhood where fragrances are conceived, produced, bottled, and sold. Founder Mauro Lorenzi, who describes perceiving the world through smell since childhood, spent years in research and travel before launching the brand as an act of creative necessity. In 2018, a pivotal collaboration began with master perfumer Maurizio Cerizza — whose family entered perfumery in 1946 with the Milanese essences house EMA and whose career spans over a hundred commercial creations — and Cerizza has guided every Lorenzi composition since. The portfolio is unisex throughout, taking Rome and the great civilisations of Italy as its olfactory map: fragrances named Capitolium, Aventinus, Quirinalis, and Fabricius invoke the hills, forums, and waterways of the eternal city through botanic and aromatic materials tied to their historical territories. Wear times of twenty to twenty-four hours reflect Lorenzi's refusal to compromise on concentration.
