Mazzolari
Milanese perfumery, family-run since 1888.
Mazzolari is a Milanese perfumery founded in 1888 by Augusto Mazzolari and run by the same family for four generations. The original cologne shop sat in central Milan and has remained at the heart of the city, eventually expanding into a small house line that pairs traditional Italian perfumery with the conventions of an old-world boutique. Fernando Mazzolari developed the salon and original creations; his grandson, also Augusto, formalised the house brand in 1966 and broadened the catalogue through the 1980s. The signature works lean rich and warm — Mazzolari Lui, Vaniglia, and the leather-and-tobacco compositions are among the most-cited references. The Milan boutique still functions as a personal-service apothecary, with bespoke advice as part of the offering. The brand's reputation is built less on marketing than on a long, quiet local presence.

Each column is an era. Each colored band shows that family’s share of accord weight across every perfume the house released in that window. Bigger band = the house leaned harder on that family.
