MCMC Fragrances
Handmade Brooklyn perfumery, small and personal.
MCMC Fragrances is a small-batch American perfume house founded in 2009 in Brooklyn by sisters Anne and Katie McClain. Anne, the nose, trained first in natural perfumery and aromatherapy in the United States before moving to Grasse for a focused study of classical technique; she has composed every fragrance in the line since. The perfumes are made by hand in Brooklyn in limited runs, with a quietly literary sensibility — single-name compositions like Hunter, Love, Noble, and Maine often built around a specific memory or place. The catalogue blends naturals with selected synthetics, sitting between the all-natural artisan world and conventional niche, with a calm, slightly faded, very personal register. MCMC has been covered by The New York Times, Vogue, and various fragrance press, and is sold direct through mcmcfragrances.com and a curated set of independent boutiques and apothecaries across North America.
