MetaScent is a Melbourne perfumery and creative studio led by perfumer Yen Huynh and Janelle Donnelly, with additional collaborations from Christopher Gordon. The space is part retail, part working laboratory: visitors can watch formulas being mixed on site, design their own scents in workshops, or buy from the in-house line. The perfumes themselves cover modern niche territory — clean musks, woody florals, and atmospheric compositions tied to Australian places and moods. Releases such as Melbourne and Wanderlust place the brand within a small but distinct Australian niche scene that has emerged over the past decade. MetaScent's identity blends education and product. The studio model — open formulation, classes, and a transparent creative process — sets it apart from purely commercial niche houses.
