Missha
Where skincare meets makeup.
Missha is the South Korean cosmetics company founded by Seo Young-pil in 2000 as the online platform Beautynet, opened on the premise that mass-market cosmetics did not need their inflated price tags. The first physical Missha shop opened in 2002 near Ewha Women's University in Seoul, and the chain became one of the founding brands of Korea's road-shop boom. Missha's reputation rests on skincare and BB cream — the M Perfect Cover BB Cream is a category landmark — but the catalog includes a small fragrance line distributed through the same retail footprint of roughly 30,000 points of sale globally. The perfumes are budget-tier, skin-close florals and clean musks aligned with Korean beauty rather than European structural perfumery. The brand is now operated by Able C&C Co., Ltd.
DNA over time
Each column is an era. Each colored band shows that family’s share of accord weight across every perfume the house released in that window. Bigger band = the house leaned harder on that family.
