Naf Naf
Fashion-forward fragrance with attitude
Naf Naf is a French fashion label founded in 1973 by Gérard and Patrick Pariente that channelled the irreverent energy of post-1968 Parisian youth culture into accessible, playfully feminine clothing. The fragrance line launched in 1991 with Une Touche de Naf Naf, marking the brand's move into the booming licensed fashion fragrance market. Working with respected perfumers including Bernard Ellena and Annick Menardo, the house produced a series of light florals, fruity feminines, and fresh orientals that captured the spirit of the brand's graphic prints and colourful aesthetic. Later contributions from Ilias Ermenidis extended the range with crisper, more contemporary structures. The fragrances are positioned firmly at the mass-accessible level, available through department stores and fashion retailers across France and exported throughout Europe. Naf Naf perfumery is an honest representation of French fashion-house fragrance at its most uncomplicated — wearable, affordable, and unambiguously tied to the spirit of its parent label.
DNA over time
Each column is an era. Each colored band shows that family’s share of accord weight across every perfume the house released in that window. Bigger band = the house leaned harder on that family.
