Narciso Rodriguez
Femininity distilled into pure musk
Narciso Rodriguez established his eponymous fashion house in New York in 1997, after dressing Carolyn Bessette for her wedding to John F. Kennedy Jr. the year before — a slip-cut bias gown that became one of the most photographed dresses of the decade. The label has since built a reputation for clean, body-conscious tailoring with a similarly restrained beauty aesthetic. The fragrance line, licensed to Shiseido since 2003 and now to Inter Parfums, launched in 2003 with the original For Her — Christine Nagel and Francis Kurkdjian's musk-anchored composition that became a defining piece of millennial perfumery. The follow-up Musc Noir and the men's For Him have built a portfolio that stays close to the original musk reference. Pricing sits in the prestige range with department-store and specialty distribution.
DNA over time
Each column is an era. Each colored band shows that family’s share of accord weight across every perfume the house released in that window. Bigger band = the house leaned harder on that family.
