Nuxe
Natural luxury where nature meets beauty.
Nuxe was founded in Paris in 1989 when Aliza Jabès, whose pharmacist father had nurtured her love of plants and their skin benefits, acquired a small Parisian natural cosmetology laboratory. At a time when petrochemical-derived formulations dominated beauty, Jabès built the brand around plant-based science and botanical ingredients, combining rigorous research and development with a poetic relationship to nature. The breakthrough came in 1991 with Huile Prodigieuse, a multi-use dry oil that became one of France's best-selling beauty products — a bottle sells somewhere in the world every nine seconds. This success funded expansion into a full skincare and fragrance range, always anchored in the same French botanical ethos. Nuxe fragrances translate the brand's garden-to-skin philosophy into scent, favouring fresh floral and naturalist compositions. Today the company employs around 900 people and distributes through 30,000 retailers across 60 countries, remaining fully independent and family-controlled under Jabès's leadership.
