Ojar
Omani heritage, composed for a wider world.
Ojar is a contemporary Omani perfume house founded in 2020 by Sheikha Hind Bahwan, sitting within the wider Hind Bahwan Group. It was conceived as a bridge between Gulf perfumery, with its love of oud, rose and frankincense, and the structural conventions of European fine fragrance, and its initial collection of eighteen scents organised itself around six core materials drawn from that vocabulary. Compositions are developed in collaboration with Givaudan and a roster including Jordi Fernández, Nanako Ogi, Dalia Izem, Gaël Montero, Santosh Shinde and Michel Girard. The line spans extraits, eaux de parfum and concentrated perfume oils, the last a deliberate nod to Khaleeji wearing rituals. Ojar suits anyone interested in oud and resinous Eastern materials presented with the polish and restraint of niche European perfumery.
DNA over time
Each column is an era. Each colored band shows that family’s share of accord weight across every perfume the house released in that window. Bigger band = the house leaned harder on that family.
