Olivier Durbano
Perfume poems on the way of stones.
Olivier Durbano is a French perfumery founded in 2005 by the Grasse-born jeweller and perfumer of the same name, whose practice is grounded in the spiritual and sensory resonance of minerals and stones. Durbano began creating jewellery in 1998 while studying architecture in Lyon, and discovered early on that the stones he worked with — their colours, textures, and geological histories — evoked specific olfactory impressions. This synaesthetic insight became the foundation of his Parfums de Pierres Poèmes collection: a series of fragrances, each inspired by a precious or semi-precious stone and accompanied by a real sphere of that mineral embedded in the bottle. Rock Crystal, Lapis Lazuli, Turquoise — each title promises both a visual and olfactory meditation. Durbano formulates the compositions himself, drawing on the fine raw materials of the Grasse tradition and working with highly concentrated, incense-forward accords that carry the gravity and permanence of stone. The house is among the most conceptually coherent in French niche perfumery, uniting jewellery, poetry, and scent into a seamless creative universe.

DNA over time
Each column is an era. Each colored band shows that family’s share of accord weight across every perfume the house released in that window. Bigger band = the house leaned harder on that family.
