Oud Elite launched in Riyadh in 2007 with a creative vision drawing on deep Saudi expertise in precious raw materials—oud, amber, musk, and the classical oriental vocabulary that the Arabian Peninsula has refined over centuries. From those beginnings the house expanded rapidly across Saudi Arabia before reaching the capitals of the Gulf Cooperation Council states, and by the mid-2020s it operated more than 420 outlets across the region, making it one of the most physically present fragrance retail networks in the Arab world. The house won the Best Award within a listing of the hundred most popular brands for both 2014 and 2015, and twice took honours at the international Perfume Oscars in 2016—including recognition for Gold Pure Black and for Layali—demonstrating that its ambitions extended well beyond local retail dominance. Each fragrance is conceived as a complete sensory experience, blending traditional natural raw materials with contemporary blending techniques rather than simply reproducing classical Oriental templates. At an accessible price tier, Oud Elite democratises the oud tradition without diluting it: the house sits between the artisanal attar workshops of the souks and the premium European-inflected Arabic houses, offering broad Gulf-heritage appeal to an audience that expects both quality and affordability.
