Parfums et Senteurs du Pays Basque
Parfums et Senteurs du Pays Basque is a small artisanal perfumery built around the materials and folklore of the French Basque country, with a workshop in La Bastide-Clairence and small boutiques in Espelette, Bayonne and at Place des Vosges in Paris. The house was founded by perfumer Christian Louis, who composes the line himself. References run through local agriculture and landscape: piment d'Espelette, fig leaf, Atlantic spray, mountain herbs, wood smoke from the region's traditional houses. The collection is split into eaux de toilette, scented sprays for linen and home, and an extrait line in heavier flacons, all sold in identical apothecary-style packaging that quietly evokes a regional pharmacy more than a luxury counter. Distribution is intentionally narrow, concentrated on the boutiques themselves and a small number of independent retailers in France.

Each column is an era. Each colored band shows that family’s share of accord weight across every perfume the house released in that window. Bigger band = the house leaned harder on that family.
