Pimkie
Fast-fashion house scents for a young Parisian customer.
Pimkie is a French fast-fashion retailer that opened its first shop in Lille in 1971, operated for decades by the Mulliez family holding group whose other interests include Auchan and Decathlon. The brand expanded across Europe as an affordable womenswear destination targeting young women, known for trend-driven clothing at mass-market prices. In 2023 the Mulliez family sold Pimkie to a consortium including Lee Cooper France, the sock manufacturer Kindy, and Turkish supplier Ibisler Tekstil. Alongside its clothing range, Pimkie has produced a series of mass-market fragrances since at least 2008, aimed at the same young female customer shopping its stores. Titles such as Chewing Gum, Bubble Love, and Soft Mineral reflect a playful, sweet-leaning aesthetic consistent with the brand's fashion identity. No notable fine-fragrance perfumers have been publicly credited with these compositions. The fragrance line is a minor extension of the retail brand rather than an independent perfumery project, offered at low price points through the brand's own store network and online channels.

DNA over time
Each column is an era. Each colored band shows that family’s share of accord weight across every perfume the house released in that window. Bigger band = the house leaned harder on that family.
