Pisello Parfum
Artisanal niche perfumery from Mexico.
Pisello Parfum is the project of Manuel Alejandro Bojórquez Segovia, a perfumer and visual artist based in Mexico who has developed a reputation as one of the country's most technically skilled independent noses. The brand launched its first fragrances in 2023, positioning itself within a nascent Mexican niche perfumery scene that has grown alongside the international collector community's interest in non-European voices. All fragrances are made by hand in Mexico, drawing on a vocabulary that includes copal, tropical flowers, and local aromatic wood resins alongside conventional niche inputs. The flavour of the compositions is deliberately idiosyncratic — aromatic spice, aquatic wood, and creamy sweet registers appear across the range, with titles like Piccolo, Kurimu, and Yoguruto suggesting a willingness to import cultural references from well outside the Mexican context. Eduardo García de Alba collaborates on certain compositions. Bojórquez was named the best perfumer by Mexico's largest fragrance community in 2024, a recognition that reflects both the quality of the work and the still-small size of the domestic field. Pisello Parfum continues to release new fragrances regularly, including a 2025 Nauyaca named after a venomous Mexican snake — evidence of a house comfortable drawing its narratives from the specific biological and cultural landscape around it.
