Poesie
Whimsical literary scents, handcrafted in small batches
Poesie is a small American indie perfume house operating out of the Pacific Northwest, founded in the 2010s by a team of independent perfumers who built the label around literary and academic themes — Jane Austen heroines, Victorian ghost stories, dark-academia archetypes. The brand grew within the same online indie community that has supported BPAL, Solstice Scents, and Arcana Wildcraft. Releases are typically sold as 5ml extrait roll-ons or small parfum bottles in seasonal collections rather than perennial pillars, and the catalogue rotates frequently. Compositions favour gourmand-tea-and-old-book registers: black tea, paper, cardamom, vanilla, leather, soft amber. The house ships internationally from a small production studio, and its audience overlaps strongly with online fandom communities. It is a clear example of the post-Etsy generation of American indie perfumery, sold direct rather than through retail.
DNA over time
Each column is an era. Each colored band shows that family’s share of accord weight across every perfume the house released in that window. Bigger band = the house leaned harder on that family.
