Primaniacs is the character-fragrance arm of Tokyo-based Masameya Inc., launched in 2016 from a Ginza specialty store dedicated to a single idea: what would your favourite anime character smell like? Where most licensed merchandise addresses the eye, Primaniacs addresses the nose, translating a character's personality, history, and aesthetic into a wearable eau de parfum. Each release is developed in close collaboration with rights holders and shaped by the character's narrative arc — brooding, fierce, gentle, or otherworldly. The catalogue spans beloved franchises including Demon Slayer, My Hero Academia, Tokyo Revengers, One Piece, Persona, and Danganronpa. Handcrafted in Japan, the bottles are presented as collectible objects, making primaniacs a rare intersection of fan culture and honest perfumery craft.
