Prin
Bangkok-based niche by perfumer Prin Lomros.
Prin Lomros is a Bangkok-based self-taught perfumer who developed his craft through courses in Grasse alongside a master's degree in film, bringing a narrative intelligence to fragrance construction that results in richly layered, story-driven compositions. Working initially through Thailand's Perfumer's World school, he founded his first label before iterating through several identities — Pryn Parfum, Strangers Parfumerie, and Parfum Prissana — before consolidating under the name PRIN around 2020. His work earned Art and Olfaction Awards in both 2017 and 2018 from the Institute of Art and Olfaction. The current portfolio spans all three sub-lines, with fragrances such as Andaman Sails and Bangkok 9 drawing on Southeast Asian botanical materials and cultural references. Compositions balance local ingredient sourcing with classical French perfumery structure, achieving a depth that rivals European niche houses. Prin Lomros has supplied bespoke fragrances to The Peninsula Hotels and distributes internationally through specialist niche retailers. The house occupies a singular position in global niche perfumery as one of the few internationally recognised artisan operations from Southeast Asia, demonstrating that high-level fragrance craft can emerge from outside the traditional European and American centres.
