Prudence Paris
Hand-built Périgord house with a Paris label.
Prudence Paris is a small family house founded in 2005 by Australian-born designer Prudence Kilgour, based not in Paris but in Beaumont du Périgord, a stone village in the Dordogne. Kilgour spent years working in fashion and textile design across London, New York, and Hong Kong before settling in southwest France and starting the perfume line. The collection grew from a single eau de parfum to roughly fourteen, with offshoot lines added over time around themes drawn from her travels and personal vocabulary, women's-wardrobe colours, garden plants, evenings out. Compositions tend toward soft floral chypres and gentle gourmands rather than statement loud florals; bottles are clear glass with hand-applied labels, sold through the boutique in Beaumont and a small network of niche retailers. The house is genuinely artisanal in scale and best suited to collectors who like discovering small French houses below the international PR radar.

DNA over time
Each column is an era. Each colored band shows that family’s share of accord weight across every perfume the house released in that window. Bigger band = the house leaned harder on that family.
