Realm
Realm is an American fragrance brand created in 1993 by Erox Corporation, a California biotech company that built its commercial identity around the concept of human pheromones and their role in attraction. Erox licensed a class of compounds it called «vomeropherins» — chemical messengers purported to influence social and romantic behaviour — and incorporated them into Realm for Women and Realm for Men, positioning both as scientifically formulated fragrances rather than purely aesthetic products. The marketing proposition was highly unusual for its era and drew significant press attention. Fragrancewise, Realm for Women is a soft, powdery floral oriental with aldehydes, while the men's version is a woody fougère. Both were priced accessibly to reach a broad consumer base. The pheromone science underlying the brand was never conclusively validated, but the novelty angle drove strong initial sales in the 1990s. The brand is now largely dormant in mainstream retail.

Each column is an era. Each colored band shows that family’s share of accord weight across every perfume the house released in that window. Bigger band = the house leaned harder on that family.
