Renier Perfumes
Every stroke of brushwork has its own scent.
Renier Perfumes was born in Prague from the vision of Cuban-born surrealist painter Renier Rodríguez Méndez, who began translating his canvases into scent in 2016. The conceit is literal and sincere: each fragrance in the catalogue is paired with one of his paintings, the olfactory and visual works designed to reinforce and illuminate each other. Rodríguez collaborates with some of perfumery's most thoughtful noses — among them Daniel Josier, Christian Carbonnel, and Miguel Matos — to realise compositions that carry the same dreamy romanticism his brushwork communicates. The Rain collection, built around water, melancholy, and transformed landscapes, anchors the range. Renier occupies a genuinely unusual position in niche perfumery: an artist-led house where the art comes first, the fragrance follows faithfully, and neither discipline is subordinated to the other.

Each column is an era. Each colored band shows that family’s share of accord weight across every perfume the house released in that window. Bigger band = the house leaned harder on that family.
