Revolution
British mass-market fragrance, TikTok-fast.
Revolution Beauty, trading on fragrance counters as Makeup Revolution, is a British mass-market beauty group founded in 2014 by Adam Minto and Tom Allsworth and headquartered in London. The company built its initial scale on dupes of high-end colour cosmetics sold at drugstore prices through Superdrug and online, and listed on London's AIM market in 2021 as Revolution Beauty Group plc. The fragrance line launched in 2021 with releases such as Revolutionary, Revolutionary Noir, Passion and Creative — accessible eaux de toilette in oriental-vanilla, woody and floral registers, sold under £20 and aimed squarely at a Gen Z audience that buys fragrance through TikTok recommendations rather than department-store sampling. The catalogue is small but growing. Revolution suits a wearer who treats perfume as one more item in a fast-rotating beauty kit rather than a long-term signature, and who values low cost and bold packaging over heritage.
DNA over time
Each column is an era. Each colored band shows that family’s share of accord weight across every perfume the house released in that window. Bigger band = the house leaned harder on that family.
