Ricarda M. is the lifestyle and beauty brand launched in 1998 by Ricarda Manuela Hofmann, born in Ludwigsburg in 1965 to parents who both worked in the cosmetics industry. After a decade-long career in senior sales and marketing roles at Fabergé, Elizabeth Arden, and Guerlain, Hofmann launched her own brand with a premium nail care set and expanded rapidly into skincare, colour cosmetics, and fragrance. The brand's early years were built on German and European television shopping — notably HSE24 and QVC — where Hofmann became one of the most recognisable faces in German teleshopping, pioneering a direct-to-consumer beauty model at scale. By 2013 she transitioned the business to a direct e-commerce model at ricardam.com, reaching customers across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. The fragrance line extends the brand's core promise: well-formulated, elegantly presented products at price points accessible to a broad audience, underpinned by professional cosmetics expertise and Hofmann's personal credibility with a loyal customer base built over two decades.
