Risingwave / ライジングウェーブ
Japanese fragrance built around considerate wear.
Risingwave is a Japanese fragrance brand founded in 2005 by Fits Corporation as the company's first original men's line. Built around the concept of bringing a new wave of scent to everyday life, the brand set out to create fragrances that work with Japanese sensibilities — light, clean, and considerate of others in close proximity — rather than simply translating European models. The result was a series of accessible, well-structured compositions that proved unusually successful in their home market: by 2025, cumulative shipments had reached 6.8 million bottles, and the brand had won nineteen fragrance awards, including four consecutive years of the Japan Fragrance Award starting in 2010. Collections such as Free, Basis, Trans Ocean, and Zero each occupy a distinct olfactory register, from citrus-aquatic to woody and mineral, making Risingwave one of the most widely worn domestic fragrance brands in Japan.

Each column is an era. Each colored band shows that family’s share of accord weight across every perfume the house released in that window. Bigger band = the house leaned harder on that family.
