Roja
British ultra-luxury, classical structures, no material restrictions
Roja Parfums is a London-based ultra-luxury house founded by Roja Dove, the British perfumer who came up through Guerlain in the 1980s as the youngest member of its Comité du Parfum and went on to establish the Haute Parfumerie at Harrods. He launched his eponymous house in 2011, positioning it firmly at the top end of the niche market alongside Clive Christian and Amouage. Compositions favour rich classical structures — chypres, fougères, ambery florals — built at high concentrations and finished with materials priced for unrestricted use: Mysore sandalwood, natural oud, taifi rose, ambergris. Bottles are heavy crystal flacons capped with metalwork, deliberately echoing 1920s couture flacons. The house operates flagship boutiques in London and Riyadh and is distributed through Harrods and Bergdorf Goodman. Pricing routinely exceeds £500 for 50ml.
DNA over time
Each column is an era. Each colored band shows that family’s share of accord weight across every perfume the house released in that window. Bigger band = the house leaned harder on that family.
