Roos&Roos
Mother-daughter Parisian niche, founded 2014.
Roos & Roos is a Parisian niche house founded in 2014 by mother and daughter Chantal Roos and Alexandra Roos, initially under the name Dear Rose before adopting the current identity in 2018. Chantal Roos shaped landmark fragrances during her decades at YSL — working on Opium, Kouros, and Paris — before moving to Shiseido to help launch the Issey Miyake fragrance line. Alexandra is a musician who has released four albums of modern chansons, and the brand's founding concept explicitly links perfume and music as arts composed of invisible notes that transform atmosphere. The inaugural collection of five fragrances was composed entirely by Grasse-based perfumer Fabrice Pellegrin, and subsequent work has drawn in Alexandra Carlin, Dominique Ropion, Nicolas Bonneville, and Elise Benat. The collection was conceived as a celebration of women, with each scent occupying a distinct olfactory register from fresh citrus to rich amber-woods. Packaging is quietly elegant, reflecting the founders' Parisian sophistication. Roos & Roos distributes through premium boutiques and online channels, priced at the upper end of the niche segment. The house benefits from Chantal Roos's extraordinary industry network and the credibility it lends to the brand's curatorial ambitions.

DNA over time
Each column is an era. Each colored band shows that family’s share of accord weight across every perfume the house released in that window. Bigger band = the house leaned harder on that family.
