Royal Mirage
American-formulated cologne staple of Gulf and South Asian shelves since the 1980s.
Royal Mirage is a US-owned heritage cologne brand, founded by Mahender M. Sabhnani and built around a four-bottle core launched in the 1980s: Original, II, Night, and Sport. Despite the Anglo-Arabic packaging cues (gold tassels, royal crest, deep blue glass), the fragrances are formulated in the United States and bottled either domestically or in the UAE for distribution across the Gulf, India, and East Africa. Compositions are straightforward: bergamot, lavender, jasmine, sandalwood, musk, sometimes oakmoss, in eau de cologne and eau de toilette concentrations at large 120ml format. Pricing sits in the supermarket bracket. The early-2000s Royal Mirage Classics expansion added Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Emerald flankers in similar registers. The house is best understood as a long-running export brand serving expat South Asian and Middle Eastern markets rather than a fragrance-press fixture. Loyal wearers tend to have used the same SKU for decades.

Each column is an era. Each colored band shows that family’s share of accord weight across every perfume the house released in that window. Bigger band = the house leaned harder on that family.
