Santa Fe Botanical Natural Fragrance Collection
Pure botanical perfumery rooted in the American Southwest.
The Santa Fe Botanical Natural Fragrance Collection was founded in 1987 by Christine Malcolm, a perfumer who had spent her career since the early 1970s in the fragrance supplier industry, progressing through research and development, quality control, and creative perfumery at International Flavors & Fragrances, Givaudan, and Florasynth. Dissatisfied with the industry's drift toward synthetic materials, Malcolm established her own house in Santa Fe, New Mexico, convinced that fine perfumery should be built on authentic botanical essential oils and plant extracts. The house has produced a focused catalogue of 18 fragrances since its founding, from the earliest Sacred Anoint and Blue Sage through to the more recent Snake Oil. The aesthetic is shaped by the high desert landscape of the American Southwest — earthy, resinous, and spiritually resonant — and an aromatherapy-informed philosophy that fragrance can be both beautiful and genuinely therapeutic. Malcolm also works as a botanical fragrance product development consultant, extending her expertise beyond the house's own line to the wider naturals industry.

Each column is an era. Each colored band shows that family’s share of accord weight across every perfume the house released in that window. Bigger band = the house leaned harder on that family.
