Sarantis
Greek consumer-goods group with a wide stable of personal-care fragrance.
Sarantis is a Greek consumer-goods group founded in 1930 in Constantinople by Grigoris Sarantis, with headquarters relocated to Athens in 1956. The company operates across personal care, home care, health care, and luxury cosmetics, distributing more than a hundred brands across Greece, Eastern Europe, and the wider Mediterranean. The fragrance footprint sits mainly in the personal-care segment: deodorant body sprays, eaux de toilette, and gift sets pitched at mass-market price points. STR8, the group's best-known masculine fragrance brand, anchors that side of the portfolio and has become a fixture of supermarket and pharmacy shelves across the region. Sarantis itself is rarely encountered as a fragrance designer in the perfumery sense — it is the parent organisation behind several house labels rather than a single creative maison — and is most relevant as the corporate context for understanding STR8 and adjacent regional names.
DNA over time
Each column is an era. Each colored band shows that family’s share of accord weight across every perfume the house released in that window. Bigger band = the house leaned harder on that family.
