Scents of Man
Scents of Man is an artisan fragrance house rooted in the Isle of Man, founded by perfumer and former illustrator Andrea Byrne, who began developing fragrances in 2014 and opened for sales in 2018. The house draws its identity directly from the island's dramatic topography and layered mythology — its rugged coastlines, ancient keeills, Norse and Celtic folklore — channelling these into compositions where over ninety percent of constituents are naturally occurring. Perfume oils, resins, absolutes, and botanical extracts form the backbone of each scent, giving the range an earthy, atmospheric quality quite distinct from mainstream perfumery. Byrne's background in illustration informs a visual and narrative sensibility that runs through every release, from the labels to the descriptions. Scents of Man also produces a skincare line that draws on indigenous phytochemicals, making it a genuinely place-specific, craft-focused house.

Each column is an era. Each colored band shows that family’s share of accord weight across every perfume the house released in that window. Bigger band = the house leaned harder on that family.
