Sergio Tacchini
Italian tennis style, since 1966.
Sergio Tacchini was founded in 1966 in Italy by the Italian tennis player of the same name, becoming one of the defining sportswear labels of the 1970s and 1980s — its tracksuits and polos worn on court by McEnroe, Vilas and a long list of grand-slam regulars. The brand has cycled through ownership since but retains its place in tennis and casual-luxury menswear. Fragrance has been a licensed extension since 1987, when Sergio Tacchini Homme debuted, followed a year later by a women's counterpart. The line has been produced largely in collaboration with the Italian fragrance house Morris and stays in safe sport-fragrance territory: fresh aromatics, marine accords, soft woods, with the occasional warmer outlier. Distribution leans European and accessible. It suits a wearer with a soft spot for vintage tennis style and the easy, fresh masculine scents of late-1980s Italian sportswear.
DNA over time
Each column is an era. Each colored band shows that family’s share of accord weight across every perfume the house released in that window. Bigger band = the house leaned harder on that family.
