Stéphanie de Bruijn
Bespoke and collection perfumery from a Paris atelier.
Stéphanie de Bruijn is a Grasse-trained French perfumer who opened her Paris house in 2008, with the boutique at 52 rue de l'Université in the 7th arrondissement following in 2009. She studied biology at the University of Nice before joining composition house Argeville as a student perfumer and winning the ISIPCA competition for the world's best perfumer under 30 from a field of 500 candidates in 2001. The house's founding premise is parfum sur mesure — bespoke fragrance — a genuinely consultative service in which clients work directly with de Bruijn to create a scent fitted precisely to their personality and desires. The boutique, a stone's throw from Le Bon Marché, also offers a ready-to-wear collection of eau de parfums composed with the same commitment to quality Grasse raw materials and artisanal French craft. Each essence comes from French artisans, primarily from the Grasse region. De Bruijn's work sits at the meeting point of haute perfumery and intimate craftsmanship, offering a rare experience of fragrance as a true dialogue between creator and wearer.
DNA over time
Each column is an era. Each colored band shows that family’s share of accord weight across every perfume the house released in that window. Bigger band = the house leaned harder on that family.
