Tania Bulhoes
Brazilian luxury homeware that grew a fragrance arm.
Tania Bulhões founded her namesake brand in 1989 in Uberaba, Minas Gerais, initially as a homeware and decorative arts company rooted in hand-painted porcelain and the artisan traditions of the Brazilian interior. The first São Paulo store opened in 1991, and the brand's visual vocabulary — lush botanical motifs, delicate hand-gilding — established it as the reference point for Brazilian luxury tabletop. Fragrance arrived as a natural extension of that sensibility. Working with master perfumers in Grasse, Bulhões developed a line of fine perfumes, home diffusers, and body products that apply the same attention to material quality as the porcelain. The compositions are typically rich, warm, and layered with Brazilian botanicals — flowers and woods that carry the landscape of Minas Gerais into the bottle. In 2024, the brand acquired Royal Limoges, the oldest operating porcelain factory in France, a move that cemented its status as a genuine luxury house rather than a lifestyle brand with fragrance as a sideline. With forty stores across Brazil and a new Manhattan showroom, Tania Bulhões has positioned its fragrance arm within a coherent luxury identity built over three decades.
DNA over time
Each column is an era. Each colored band shows that family’s share of accord weight across every perfume the house released in that window. Bigger band = the house leaned harder on that family.
