Terres Dorees is a family perfumery and soap house founded in 1999 in Villefranche-sur-Mer on the French Côte d'Azur, under the direction of Mme Taïde Cardelli. The house began as a soap manufacturer, its products rooted in the Mediterranean botanical tradition of the Riviera. When the family chose to expand into fragrance, the move was a natural extension of the same relationship with local scent materials, releasing a collection of eau de toilettes that captured the sensibility of the sun-drenched coast for visitors and residents alike. The original soaps continue to be made in the same building, now overseen by the grandchildren, confirming the family character of the enterprise. The youngest generation serves as creative directors for the fragrance line, which has grown to include eau de parfum releases that reflect a more contemporary niche positioning. Terres Dorees operates boutiques in Villefranche-sur-Mer and Nice's old town, retaining an emphatically local, artisanal identity within the broader landscape of French niche perfumery.
